How to Perform a House Clearing
Ingredients: Sage and Salt (any kind). *Pablo Santo Sticks are wonderful for in-between House Clearings or if you want to clear a small space.
- Preparation: Clean and declutter the inside of your home, including closets and cabinets.
- Set an intention to clear the energy of your home. This is a process that must be done with love. Replace the feelings of fear, worry, and anxiety with love. Let your love for yourself, life, and your home shine through. Hold this intention through the entire process.
- The process begins outside you home. Using the salt from your ingredients, walk twice around the perimeter of your home while sprinkling the salt to the ground and say the following: “I clear all negative and stagnant energy, leaving only light and love.”
- Next, go inside your home and light your sage stick. Use an incense dish or ashtray underneath to prevent any burnt sage from falling once lit. Once you light the sage, blow it out right away. It’s the incense smoke that creates the affect. Don’t leave the lit sage unattended, near children, or near anything flammable. Sage creates smoke incense so also avoid standing under a smoke detector.
- The saging process always begins from the bottom to the top floors of your home, and one room at a time. Sage can smell, so it may help to open a window. Open all cabinets and closets and begin your saging processes. As you sage, say the following with all the love in your heart: “I clear all negative and stagnant energy, leaving only light and love.”
- Prayer, Intention, Belief, and the Love in your heart are your power. Know that it’s not just about the process of clearing the energy in your home, you must also believe in it.
- The process ends as you say the following: “I now enjoy the wonderful and uplifting energy within this home!”
